Martí and Lindblad completed three promising days of testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, driving their Campos Racing single-seaters in Red Bull colors

The FIA Formula 2 pre-season has come to an end after three days of collective testing at the Catalan circuit. Although the on-track action is over, drivers and engineers now face intense data analysis sessions.
From the very first session, both Arvid Lindblad and Pepe Martí ranked among the top ten. On Monday morning, Lindblad set a time of 1m26.947s, closely followed by Martí with 1m27.262s. In the afternoon, with improved track conditions, Lindblad topped the timesheets with a 1m24.415s lap, while Martí, competing near his hometown, secured a spot in the top five with a 1m24.764s time.
On Tuesday, lap times continued to drop, with both drivers placing in the top eight during the morning session—Lindblad clocking 1m24.021s and Martí 1m24.170s. In the afternoon, Campos Racing focused on race simulations and long stints, where they demonstrated strong pace. Martí set a 1m29.734s lap, while Lindblad posted a 1m30.316s.
The third and final day was impacted by sporadic morning rain, delaying the scheduled program. However, as the track improved around midday, lap times steadily decreased. In the morning session, Martí recorded a 1m27.091s, while Lindblad stopped the clock at 1m27.628s. In the afternoon, both drivers pushed in qualifying simulations, further improving their lap times. Lindblad’s best attempt of 1m25.427s earned him third place in the standings, while Martí secured eighth with a 1m26.307s lap.
With testing now complete, the countdown begins for the season opener in Melbourne on March 15-16, when the engines will roar once again on the semi-permanent circuit.
