The Monegasque driver will join the Alzira-based team to partner with Ralph Boschung. Coletti has an impressive record in the main Formula 1-feeder series
Campos Racing and Stefano Coletti have reached an agreement according to which the La Colle-born driver will drive a Dallara entered by Adrián Campos’ squad in the FÍA Formula 2 Championship. Coletti, aged 28, has achieved feats in very different categorías. Monaco’s driver made his debut in single-setter racing and contested four GP2 Series seasons with 8 triumphs and and 18 podiums to his credit, within the reach of the very few. Besides, Coletti also raced other series such as the IndyCar Series and the European Le Mans Series.
“I am glad with the deal that will see me drive for Campos Racing at FIA Formula 2 Championship’s season opener event in Bahrain. I am looking forward to driving my car”, Coletti said.
Adrián Campos stressed: “I am thrilled about what it means for us to have Stefano joining our team. Everybody at Campos Racing is very enthusiastic and we all are keen to start working with Stefano, a driver of the highest calibre.”
Coletti and Switzerland’s Ralph Boschung will hit track at Bahrain International Circuit on Friday at 11.30. Later, qualifying sesssion will take place at 20.00. Saturday’s race is slated for 13.10. On Sunday race 2 is due to start at 14.15.
