After summer break Haryanto and Pic return to the wheel this weekend at Spa-Francorchamps, one of the most exciting events of the season. Haryanto is second in drivers´ championship with Campos Racing sitting fourth in the teams´ standings
The GP2 Series resumes next weekend in the Belgian Ardennes, with the 7.004 kilometer circuit of Spa-Francorchamps hosting the first venue after three-week summer holiday. Spa-Francorchamps is one of the most exciting racing tracks all around the world, with famous corners such as La Source, Raidillon Eau Rouge or Les Combes, they both connected by Kemmel straight.
At the moment, after six rounds and still five left, Indonesia´s Rio Haryanto sits second in the drivers´ championship on 109 points. Haryanto will try to gain as many points as he can to reduce the gap to Stoffel Vandoorne, at the moment leading the series. Arthur Pic, with another car entered by Campos Racing, shall start all over in the second half of the season. The Frenchman had a run of back luck earlier this year, and will try to get back on the road to wins in remaining events.
Spa-Francorchamps, one of the most technically demanding tracks, is a tough one for the tires at the same time. Pirelli has chosen hard and soft compounds for this weekend.
Practice and qualifying sessions will take place on Friday at 12.00 and 15.55 respectively. Feature race is due to start on Saturday at 15.40 with Sprint race scheduled at 10.35.
