Campos Racing is pleased to announce that it will be contesting the new F1 Academy series from next year and during at least the first three seasons. Campos Racing has traditionally supported women in motorsport in different categories and championships. Natacha Gachnang, Valeria Carballo, Samín Gómez, Pippa Mann, Carmen Jordá or Sophia Floersch, among others, have previously driven Campos Racing-run single-seaters since its inception in the nineties.
The calendar features seven events with three races per weekend with five teams entering three Tatuus T421 cars each. Besides, Pirelli will provide tires for a new category which is expected to be extremely closely-fought with an excellent pool of women drivers in preparation for the pinnacle of motorsport.
Adrián Campos (Campos Racing Team Principal): “It’s a new challenge that underlines the growing of Campos Racing in recent years at the highest level. We are proud to be entering the new F1 Academy series, because it’s a concept closely linked to our DNA and history. We want to thank the confidence of F1. We are already working on the first season of F1 Academy. It’s an essential category to provide opportunities and visibility to women drivers at the best possible platform.”
