The Danish driver has penned a deal to contest the Formula 4-based racing series with a brand new Campos Racing-entered Tatuus T-021 car
Campos Racing is delighted to announce that Georg Kelstrup will join its driver line-up in the 2022 Formula 4 Spain championship. New recruit Kelstrup will drive a new halo-shod Tatuus T-021 car to compete in the closely-fought Formula 4-based racing series.
The 17-year-old driver from Denmark completed a strong karting career before making his single-seater debut last year. Kelstrup contested the F4 Spain Championship clinching a maiden win and two podium finishes throughout the 2021 season.
Kelstrup and previously announced Serbian Filip Jenić are two young but experienced drivers and they will bid for the coveted F4 Spain title. The 2022 F4 Spain season will kick off at Algarve International Circuit on 30 April-1 May in support of the DTM. Other six events will take place at Jerez (28-29 May), Cheste (11-12 June), Spa-Francorchamps (8-9 July), Motorland (3-4 September), Navarra (1-2 October) and Barcelona (12-13 November).
Further announcements regarding Campos Racing’s F4 Spain driver line up will be made in the coming weeks.
