The months of June and July, which hold the bulk of the FIA Formula 3 season, are drawing to a close, and the championship heads to Hungary this weekend. The two races at Hungaroring, the circuit near Budapest, mark the penultimate event of the year, with only Spa-Francorchamps at the end of July and Monza after the summer break remaining.

Campos Racing will once again field their trio of Dallara cars for Oliver Goethe, Mari Boya, and Sebas Montoya. The young and talented trio from Alzira have been achieving excellent results so far. "Ollie," as he is known in the paddock, is the best-placed Campos Racing driver in the overall standings, occupying fifth position with 85 points, and is among the seven standout drivers contending for the title. The German-Dane has scored points in thirteen of the fourteen races held, achieving a victory, a second place, and a third place, showcasing his speed on any type of circuit.

Regarding Boya, the Spanish driver already knows what it's like to win in the third tier of FIA single-seater racing, having triumphed in the first race held at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in June, in front of his home crowd. Boya has also scored points on six other occasions, highlighting his solidity and consistency. Meanwhile, Colombian Montoya can be described as the comeback driver. In the four occasions he has scored points, he has done so by overtaking at least a handful of rivals. Alongside Goethe, Boya and Montoya are also serious contenders to watch.

In the team standings, Campos Racing occupies fourth place with 141 points.

Hungary, sometimes referred to by drivers as a kind of Monaco in the form of a permanent circuit, is one of the physically toughest tracks on the calendar. Not so much for its speed, but for its linked corners and high temperatures. Since few races are held there, the asphalt tends to improve significantly in terms of grip as the sessions progress. Moreover, with the usual heat at the circuit, tire wear management always favors drivers who are especially careful in this regard. Given the difficulties in overtaking, an optimal grid position is always helpful in achieving good results.

Both free practice and qualifying will take place on Friday at 09:55 and 15:05 respectively. The Sprint race will be held on Saturday at 09:50, while the Feature race on Sunday is scheduled for 08:25. All times are in the Spanish time zone.

Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): "We are now entering the decisive part of the season as we are already at the penultimate event of the championship. Hungaroring is an extremely challenging, unique circuit with characteristics almost only found in a street circuit. That said, it will be crucial to achieve a good result in Friday's qualifying to maximize our chances in the two races. We have high hopes of performing at a great level again."

Oliver Goethe (Campos Racing driver in FIA Formula 3): "Very excited to be racing at the Hungaroring. Silverstone was a chaotic weekend that we didn’t really make the most out of so we’re looking forward to bounce back strong and score some crucial points."

Mari Boya (Campos Racing driver in FIA Formula 3): “I’m looking forward to being back on this track, which I really like it. Extremely hot temperatures are forecasted and, considering how abrasive the asphalt is, tire wear and degradation are going to be a factor to take into account.”

Sebastián Montoya (Campos Racing driver in FIA Formula 3): "I’m very excited to be back racing after a week off! The heat of the weather and the short track full of corners is going to be very different to everything we have had this season so I’m very excited! Head down to keep using the speed we have and maximize the weekend!"
