Boya and Tsolov have been the fastest in the two days of collective FIA Formula 3 testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Intraphuvasak is also in the top-6 of the timesheets
Campos Racing has concluded the post-season tests leading the times at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Mari Boya, as Nikola Tsolov did last week in Jerez, was the fastest at the end of the two days of collective testing scheduled by the championship in the Catalan city. Interestingly, in Jerez, the two drivers of the Alzira-based team swapped positions, with the Bulgarian preceding the Spaniard in Andalusian territory.
The drivers started running early on Tuesday, with the immediate goal of simulating qualifying to achieve the fastest time. Thus, Tsolov was the only one able to break the 1m28s barrier, finishing the session with a time of 1m27.866s. Despite the session being interrupted by a couple of red flags, Tsolov completed 41 laps, the same number as Boya, who finished third with his lap of 1m28.041s. Thai Inthraphuvasak set a time of 1m28.629s in this first session.
In the afternoon, although the work focused on long runs, Tsolov also made a final attempt at a fast lap at the end, which allowed him to lead the classification again with a time of 1m28.370s. Boya, on this occasion, finished fourth with a time of 1m29.022s. Meanwhile, Inthraphuvasak finished in seventh place with his best lap of 1m29.160s
On Wednesday, with the track slightly faster due to the rubber accumulated from the previous day, the Campos Racing drivers quickly took the lead. It was the driver from the Valle de Arán, Boya, who beat Tsolov's time from the previous day, stopping the clock at 1m27.209s at the end of the morning session. Tsolov finished just 27 thousandths behind in second position. Inthraphuvasak also placed in the top ranks with a lap of 1m27.543s, earning him sixth place.
In the afternoon session, as happened the previous day, the times were slower. The three Campos Racing drivers posted very similar times. Tsolov stopped the clock at 1m32.247s, Boya at 1m32.273s, and Inthraphuvasak at 1m32.464s.
After these two weeks of testing, it's now time to analyze all the information gathered to continue preparing for the 2025 season.
