The Valencia-based racing series will contest the 70th Macau Grand Prix, which makes its return as a Formula 3 race
Campos Racing is pleased to announce its driver line-up for the Macau F3 Grand Prix, which takes place on 18-19 November. Spaniard Pepe Martí, German-Danish Oliver Goethe and Colombian Sebas Montoya will drive the Campos Racing-run Dallara F3 machinery in the streets of the ex-Portuguese colony.
It is a young but very talented driver line-up as Martí ranked 5th overall in the FIA Formula 3 Championship and the Spaniard secured three wins throughout the 2023 season. Goethe and Montoya have recently carried out three successful post-season FIA Formula 3 testing and they will try to convert potential into a strong result.
The Macau Guia circuit is one of the fastest urban tracks all around the world. Besides, it isn’t a step into the unknown for Campos Racing as the team already took part in the 66th Macau Grand Prix in 2019 with Dallara F3 cars. The Macau Grand Prix is the most prestigious and historic Formula 3 event, as it took place as a race under Formula 3-specifications back in 1983. The circuit consists of long straights and tight corners with almost no margin for mistakes, therefore it is a true challenge for any racer.
Adrián Campos (Campos Racing Team Principal): “We are delighted to be back in Macau with our FIA Formula 3 cars and such a competitive driver line-up. Pepe was a title contender in the 2023 season and claimed no less than three wins, so we expect he will be able to make a strong outing in Macau. Oliver and Sebas completed a great work with us during post-season testing and we are looking forward to showing their potential on track at an official event.”
