Campos Racing will compete this coming weekend in the final FIA Formula 2 event of the current month of July, following a few hectic weeks in terms of sporting activity. For this purpose, the Alzira-based team will travel to the Belgian Ardennes to compete in two new races where Isack Hadjar and Pepe Martí will aim to bring their Red Bull-liveried Dallara F2 2024s to the top. It will be the culmination of six weeks during which no fewer than five events have been held.

Hadjar took the lead in the drivers' standings after Silverstone, and last weekend in Hungary, the French driver extended his lead over his closest pursuer, Paul Aron. The excellent synergy between Hadjar and Campos Racing is demonstrated by the three victories the Frenchman has secured in Melbourne, Imola, and Silverstone, as well as three additional podiums in Monaco, Red Bull Ring, and the Hungaroring. Furthermore, he has scored points on five other occasions, catapulting him to the top of the standings with 140 points. Hadjar will strive to finish on a high note and face the summer break with full confidence for the four remaining events.

As for Martí, the Barcelona-based driver was off balance throughout the weekend in Hungary due to his delayed starting position in both races. Martí has three podiums to his name: two second places at the Red Bull Ring and Sakhir, and a third place also achieved in Bahrain at the start of the season. Martí has a lot of experience at Spa-Francorchamps; during his debut in single-seaters with Campos Racing in F4 Spain, he already finished in second place at this very track.

Campos Racing holds the second position in the team standings with 178 points, just six behind Invicta Racing, and the goal will be to reclaim the lead that the team held just before the Hungarian event.

Spa-Francorchamps is one of the most iconic circuits on the calendar, with a century-long automotive tradition. The circuit hosted its first competition in 1922 and its first Belgian Grand Prix long before the creation of Formula 1 itself, in 1925. With its 7,004 meters in length, it is the longest circuit on the current calendar, and names like Raidillon-Eau Rouge, La Source, Les Combes, Stavelot, or Blanchimont are part of the cultural heritage for both drivers and fans. It is extremely demanding on tires due to the high-speed corners that cause significant lateral loads, and both traction and braking are key to having a competitive car. As if that weren’t enough, rain is forecast for Friday and Saturday, adding even more excitement to an already thrilling weekend.

Both the free practice sessions and the qualifying session will take place on Friday at 11:05 and 16:00, respectively. On Saturday, the sprint race will start at 14:15, while the main race on Sunday, with a mandatory pit stop for tire changes, will take place at 10:00. All times are in Spanish time zone.

Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): “Spa-Francorchamps marks the final chapter of this sprint we've experienced in June and July with much of the season concentrated in these weeks, and with them, essential points towards the title. Isack solidified his lead in Hungary; let's see if we can have a great weekend in Belgium and open up an even bigger gap in the standings to face the four events after the summer break with as much tranquility as possible. Of course, our goal in Belgium is also to reclaim the lead in the team standings, and Pepe’s role will be key for that. He knows this circuit very well, having debuted on the podium in his single-seater debut with us there. I trust it will be a great meeting for our interests.”
