The young Briton will team up with full-season driver Ralph Boschung to drive the #20 Dallara car for the last two rounds of the FIA Formula 2 Championship season
Campos Racing is pleased to announce that Olli Caldwell will be joining its FIA Formula 2 driver line-up for the last two rounds of the 2021 season taking place in Jeddah and Abu Dhabi. Caldwell will be driving the Campos Racing-entered #20 Dallara-Mecachrome car in which will be his debut in the main F1 feeder series. Swiss Ralph Boschung and newcomer Caldwell are a perfect mix of experience, talent and youth.
Caldwell, aged 19, was born in Hampshire and made his racing debut back in 2013 in karting before stepping up to the Ginetta Junior Championship three years later. His racing career as a single-seater driver started by debuting in the British, Italian and German Formula 4 series in 2017. Caldwell soon showed his talent and speed and finished 3rd in the Italian Series with four wins and 11 podiums to his name during the 2018 season. He contested the Formula Regional European Championship, in which he ranked 5th overall securing multiple podium finishes. The British driver has competed in the FIA Formula 3 Championship in the last two seasons with four rostrums to his credit.
His first outing at the wheel of the Campos Racing-run Dallara will take place in early December on Jeddah Corniche Circuit, described as the fastest street circuit. Just one week later, Caldwell will contest his second event at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, the traditional season finale.

We feel confident that joining Ralph, our driver line-up will be able to deliver strong performances and achieve top results during the last two rounds.”

I want to thank the team for the opportunity, I can’t wait to see what the car can do and gain experience ahead of my goal of a full season in Formula 2 next year.”
Harry Soden (Infinity Sports Management): “This is a great opportunity for Olli ahead of 2022, teaming up with a strong team such as Campos Racing. He’s shown his winning potential this season in Formula 3 and I have no doubt that he will put in the same hard work and determination to make the most of this opportunity in Formula 2.”
