Fully immersed in the 2025 season and following the start of FIA Formula 2 and FIA Formula 3, another championship in which Campos Racing takes part is set to get underway this weekend. This time, it's F1 Academy, the all-female series now entering its third year on the global motorsport stage. As in the past two seasons, Campos Racing will once again enter Tatuus F4-T421 Autotechnica machinery for Chloe Chambers, Rafaela Ferreira, and Alisha Palmowski. This trio brings together experience, talent, and speed, with the clear goal of competing for top honors in the category.

For 20-year-old Chambers, this will be her second season in the championship, and she is expected to be one of the title contenders, regularly fighting for wins and podiums at every circuit on the calendar. The American already claimed her first F1 Academy victory last year, winning a race in Barcelona. She also secured a second-place finish in Yas Marina and two third-place finishes, one in Montmeló and another in Miami. For this season, Chambers has joined the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme.

Brazilian driver Ferreira will make her F1 Academy debut this year after becoming the first woman to win a race in the Brazilian F4 Championship in 2024. At just 19 years old, Ferreira’s car will feature the colors of theVisa Cash App RB Academy. During testing with the team, she has already demonstrated the potential needed to take on this new challenge in her racing career.

Palmowski will also be a driver to watch closely despite being a rookie. At only 18 years old, the Manchester-born Brit will represent the Red Bull Racing Academy Programme as she makes her first appearance in an international championship, having previously competed in her home country’s GB4 series.

The Shanghai International Circuit will be making its debut on the F1 Academy calendar. Opened in 2004, it hosted the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix from that same year until 2019 and returned in 2024. The 5.451 km track features 16 corners, many of them high-speed, generating significant lateral forces, along with a remarkable straight exceeding one kilometer in length.

After Shanghai, the F1 Academy season will continue with stops at the circuits of Jeddah (April 19-20), Miami (May 4), Montreal (June 14-15), Zandvoort (August 30-31), Singapore (October 4-5), and Las Vegas (November 21-22).

Free practice will begin on Friday at 02:10 AM, with qualifying set to start at 07:05 AM. The first race will take place on Saturday at 06:50 AM, while the second race is scheduled for Sunday at 03:45 AM. All times are in Spanish time zone.

Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): "We are very excited about this first round of F1 Academy, a championship where our team has achieved excellent results over the past two seasons, with our drivers consistently fighting for podiums at every circuit. This year promises to be even more competitive, with a greater number of single-seaters on track, but our goals remain unchanged: to be as competitive as possible with our drivers. We have a team full of talent and youth, ready to take on this new F1 Academy challenge with the highest ambitions."

Chloe Chambers (Campos Racing Driver in F1 Academy): I can’t wait to get the 2025 season started here in Shanghai. New colors with the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme and my new teammates will be a fun first race weekend experience. Testing pace was strong so hopefully we’ll be able to start the year off in a good way and continue the momentum on for the rest of the season.”

Alisha Palmowski (Campos Racing Driver in F1 Academy): Super excited to get the F1 Academy season underway this weekend in Shanghai! The whole weekend will be a big learning curve for me but testing was positive and we’ve put a lot of work in behind the scenes so fingers crossed we can have a successful weekend!”

Rafaela Ferreira (Campos Racing Driver en F1 Academy): “I feel ready, I'm very excited. We practiced a lot and barely see being able to accelerate on the track, in this first round of F1 Academy, here in China, it will undoubtedly be a challenge and an important step for my career, I’m super excited for these days!”
