Campos Racing continued its podium presence in the F1 Academy during the fourth round of the season, just as it had in all previous events in the category. This time, it was Spanish driver Nerea Martí who represented the team on the Zandvoort podium. Her teammates Chloe Chambers and Carrie Schreiner also finished in point-scoring positions, resulting in a positive outcome for Campos Racing in the Netherlands.

After the free practice sessions, Saturday’s qualifying sessions took place, where rain once again played a role. As the rain stopped during the session, track conditions improved, leading to faster lap times as the minutes passed. A red flag caused by an incident also contributed to better times, briefly halting activity on the track. In the end, Martí secured the third position for the first race, making her the best-ranked Campos Racing driver. Behind her, Chambers would start seventh with her Haas F1-liveried car, while Schreiner qualified eleventh. For the second race, Martí, in her Tommy Hilfiger-liveried car, was again the best team representative, securing fifth place. Schreiner, the German driver from the Sauber Academy, was ninth, two spots ahead of Chambers.

The first race was scheduled for Saturday afternoon, but as the cars lined up on the grid, a fierce storm with wind and rain delayed the start. Eventually, the race was postponed to early Sunday morning. The Sunday session started with sunny weather, but the race had to be shortened from 17 laps to 13 due to rescheduling. When the lights went out, Martí battled side by side with Doriane Pin, but the French driver held her ground, leaving the Campos Racing driver in third place after the first lap. Behind them, Chambers was seventh while Schreiner moved up to tenth. Martí’s path became easier when Pin was handed a five-second penalty for jumping the start. Martí focused on staying close to Pin, and at the finish line, she secured second place on the podium. Chambers, who overtook Aurelia Nobels, finished sixth under the checkered flag. Schreiner rounded off the point-scoring positions in tenth place.

In the second race, held two hours later, Martí once again had a strong start, but when she attempted to overtake Nobels around the outside of the first corner, Nobels forced her wide, causing Martí to drop to ninth. Schreiner then became the best-placed driver of the team in seventh, in what was a close-packed race where overtaking was extremely difficult. Ultimately, Schreiner finished sixth, two spots ahead of Martí, while Chambers ended up twelfth.

After Zandvoort, Chambers is third in the driver standings with 89 points, four more than Martí, who is fourth. Schreiner climbs to tenth with 18 points. In the team standings, Campos Racing holds third place with 192 points.

The next stop in the championship will be at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore on September 21-22.
