Campos Racing is delighted to announce the addition of Carrie Schreiner to contest the 2024 F1 Academy at the wheel of Tatuus-Autotecnica machinery, as the talented German driver will also be inducted in the Sauber Academy’s development programme.

Schreiner was born in Völklingen and made her debut in karting at a young age taking part in the ADAC Kart Masters in 2011. The German racer clinched the X30 Junior Championship title in 2012 before stepping up to single-seater racing in 2015. Carrie competed in the German and British F4-based championships and she managed to immediately secure a number of top-ten finishes. Schreiner worked her way up in motorsports by switching to GT racing in 2017 and she took part in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East, the ADAC GT Masters, the 24 hours of Nürburgring or the Porsche Sports Cup, among others. Schreiner claimed the Pro-Am title in the 2018 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East season and her racing achievements further improved when she won her class in the 24 hours of Nürburgring three years later.

The new driver of Campos Racing joined the field of the all-new F1 Academy in 2023 and she manage to bring home her maiden triumph in the series at Zandvoort, when she emerged as winner in Race 2. Besides, Schreiner was a solid points-paying finisher during her rookie season. With a year of experience under her belt, Schreiner is expected to set her sights in even more ambitious goals.

The seven-round calendar will see the 2024 season kicking off at Jeddah Corniche Circuit on 8-9 March. The series will also pay visits to Miami (4-5 May), Barcelona (22-23 June), Zandvoort (24-25 August), Marina Bay (21-22 September), Losail (30 November-1 December) and Yas Marina Circuit (7-8 December), which will bring the curtain down on the season.

Adrian Campos (Campos Racing Team Principal): “We are delighted to welcome Carrie to the team, and to begin a new collaboration with Sauber. Both our outfits boast vast experience in nurturing and raising the champions of tomorrow, and we cannot wait to get started. Carrie is a well-experienced driver and alongside Campos Racing, we expect to convert it into strong results working together.”

With the expertise and the support of our Formula One team, the Sauber Academy, and Campos Racing, entities with decades-long experience in motorsport, we are confident we will achieve great things together.”

After an exciting first season, I'm looking forward to getting back to work. Sauber has an impressive motorsport history and I want to play my part in continuing its success story in F1 Academy. My goal for this season is only one: to win, and to do so flying the flag for the team, while generating more awareness for women in motorsport.
