The American Chambers will continue with the team, while the Brazilian Ferreira and the British Palmowski will join, forming a driver line-up of immense talent with ambitions to excel in the all-female single-seater category
Campos Racing is pleased to announce the identities of the three drivers who will join its structure to compete in the 2025 F1 Academy season. They are American Chloe Chambers, Brazilian Rafaela Ferreira, and British Alisha Palmowski; undoubtedly, three drivers with exceptional sporting careers ready to fight for titles in the category next year.
Chambers needs no introduction as she will be entering her second season with the team based in Alzira. Chambers, who has already tasted success in the year about to end, will defend the colors of the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme in her single-seater, which is a fair and well-deserved recognition of her performance in 2024.
Ferreira, 19 years old and born in the Brazilian town of Criciúma, will debut in the F1 Academy after competing in her country's F4 championship. Ferreira will sport the colors of Visa Cash App RB Academy in her single-seater and promises to be one of the sensations, considering she is the first female driver to win a Formula 4 race in her country. After visiting the podium in 2023 in her debut in that championship, Ferreira won two races and achieved seven podiums in 2024, finishing the season in fourth position overall in the championship.
Palmowski is an 18-year-old driver born in the English town of Derbyshire. The young British prospect will be part of the Red Bull Academy Programme. After starting to compete in karting in 2018, from 2019 to 2021, she participated in the Daniel Ricciardo Series, where she was declared Junior runner-up in 2020 and 2021. She then transitioned to cars in 2022, participating in the Ginetta Juniors Series before being selected in 2024 by the prestigious BRDC Rising Star, the same season in which she became the runner-up of GB4 in her first foray into single-seaters.
The season will kick off at the Shanghai International Circuit on the weekend of March 22-23, then head to Jeddah on April 19-20. The first American event on the calendar will repeat at the Miami International Autodrome on the weekend of May 3-4. Without leaving North America, the fourth round is scheduled for Montreal on June 14-15. After the summer break, the championship will resume in Zandvoort on August 30-31, then travel to Singapore for the penultimate event on the calendar at the Marina Bay Street Circuit on October 4-5. The championship will close at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit on the weekend of November 21-22.
Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): "It is a real luxury to have three drivers of the caliber of Chloe, Rafaela, and Alisha in the same team. We already know what Chloe is capable of, as we have seen in 2024, and with the experience of this year, she can only improve. We have already started working with Rafaela and Alisha, and they are two committed and dedicated drivers with the shared goal of fighting for the championship. I have no doubt that great successes await us next season."
Chloe Chambers (Campos Racing Driver in F1 Academy): “I am thrilled to be driving for the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme for the upcoming 2025 season. As an American driver, it is an honour to team up with an iconic American automotive company like Ford. It is a privilege to be partnering with the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme to continue improving female representation in the sport, and I am grateful for the support to achieve my own career goals in motorsport.”
Rafaela Ferreira (Campos Racing Driver in F1 Academy): “I’m extremely happy to be driving for the Visa Cash App RB Academy Programme in F1 Academy in 2025. This opportunity represents a big step in my career, and is a dream come true to work with a Team that has so much talent. I’m determined to give my best and go after great results. It’ll be something new for me, but I’m confident that we will achieve a lot together. I’m already preparing and am excited for next year!”
Alisha Palmowski (Campos Racing Driver in F1 Academy): “I am incredibly excited and honoured to be joining the Red Bull Racing Pepe Jeans Programme in F1 Academy for 2025. Oracle Red Bull Racing is one of the best teams on the grid, and to see the talent they have brought through the doors and to get to be a part of that next generation is something that I could never have imagined. The Team has been incredibly supportive so far, and I can’t wait to get fully underway with them in 2025 with the ultimate goal of winning the championship. I have already been working in the sim and with the Team to get a jumpstart on next year and have full focus on performing and delivering results.”
