After a month-long break since the last race, the 2024 F1 Academy season resumes competitive activity this upcoming weekend on the occasion of the Singapore F1 Grand Prix, an unparalleled setting for this fifth round. Campos Racing will once again field their Tatuus cars for the trio consisting of Chloe Chambers, Nerea Martí, and Carrie Schreiner, one of the strongest on the grid as they have demonstrated in previous races.

The American Chambers is having an outstanding season so far, as evidenced by her third place in the drivers' standings with 89 points. Chambers, who scored double points in Jeddah, achieved her first podium in Miami by finishing third. In Barcelona, the American driver repeated her third-place finish in the first race and won the Sunday race. Chambers, who defends the Haas F1 colors on her car, has scored points in every race except the second one at Zandvoort.

Martí is fourth, just four points behind her teammate, thanks to her three podium visits in F1 Academy so far. The Spanish driver, who has scored points in seven of the eight previous races, climbed to third place at the Corniche Circuit and, after finishing fourth, just missing the podium in Miami, finished second in Barcelona. She also repeated her podium finish at the most recent race in Zandvoort.

As for Schreiner, the German driver from the Sauber Academy completes the top ten in the standings after scoring points on five occasions. So far, Schreiner's best result of the season is a sixth place, achieved at Zandvoort at the end of August. Buoyed by that result, the German driver will aim to improve even further on the streets of Singapore.

In the team standings, Campos Racing occupies third place with 192 points.

The Marina Bay Street Circuit was inaugurated in 2008 and has since become an iconic urban circuit running near the Singapore harbor. With its 4,940 meters and 19 corners, it is a highly technical track that, like all street circuits, leaves little room for error. Unlike others like Monaco, Singapore is much more physically demanding for all the drivers, especially due to the high temperatures and humidity. To make matters worse, rain is forecast, which could complicate the task for the drivers and engineers even more.

On-track activity will begin on Friday with free practice at 09:20. Meanwhile, the qualifying session is scheduled for the same afternoon at 13:00. The first race will take place on Saturday at 09:05. The weekend program will conclude on Sunday with the second race at 09:35. All times are in Spanish time zone.

Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): “Singapore is a new challenge for the entire team. It is a really complicated street circuit, but we have worked hard over the past few weeks to prepare optimally for these two races. We have reached the podium in all previous races with at least one of our drivers, and we will fight to continue in the same line and return from Singapore with the maximum possible points.”

Chloe Chambers (Campos Racing driver in F1 Academy): “Excited to be hitting the streets of Singapore this weekend. I have some experience from W Series, but different car, different tires, and a slightly different track layout will still pose a challenge, but I’m coming into this round with confidence. Zandvoort wasn’t our best weekend which we had predicted, but I’m feeling good for the rest of the season and ready to make some moves up in the standings!”
