In an action-packed weekend with a tight racing agenda for Campos Racing, the Alzira-based team will also field their Tatuus cars for Nerea Martí, Chloe Chambers, and Carrie Schreiner. The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will be the venue for two new F1 Academy races following those held in Jeddah and Miami.

The Barcelona circuit is one of only two European stops on the calendar, making it an extra motivation for both Campos Racing and Martí as it’s a home race. The Valencian driver stepped onto the podium at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit in the second race of the curtain-raiser meeting. In Miami, Martí finished fourth and seventh, and her goals are to return to the podium while scoring as many points as possible.

Another driver who has already made it to the podium is the American Chambers. She finished third in the first Miami race and fourth in the other. Another fourth place in Jeddah, along with a tenth-place finish, makes the Haas F1 driver one of the strongest and most consistent so far in the F1 Academy field. Regarding Schreiner, the German Sauber Academy driver’s best result this season is a seventh place, but she has scored points on two other occasions in four races, showing a clear upward trend in her competitive performance.

In the overall standings, Chambers is fourth with 40 points, while Martí is sixth with 33 points. Schreiner is tenth with 9 points. In the team standings, Campos Racing is third with a total of 82 points.

The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is well known to all the drivers in the F1 Academy grid, so it is expected that the differences will be minimal given the prevailing equality in this all-female championship.

Track activity will start on Friday with free practice at 8:50 AM, while the qualifying session is scheduled for 6:30 PM. The first race will take place on Saturday at 6:00 PM. The weekend program will conclude on Sunday with the second race at 8:50 AM. All times are in Spanish time zone.

Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): “After being on the podium in Jeddah and Miami with two different drivers, we approach this home round of F1 Academy with great enthusiasm. We have a lot of experience on this circuit, but it’s true that all our rivals do too, so I foresee a weekend of tremendous equality, and given the characteristics of the circuit and the category, the differences will be minimal. I hope we can score a good haul of points, and if we increase the list of podiums, even better.”

Chloe Chambers (Campos Racing Driver in F1 Academy): “I’m feeling ready for the weekend ahead. I really enjoy the circuit and testing went very well for us back in February so hopefully I can carry that same momentum into this weekend and get some good points for the team. It’s even more special too since it is Campos’ home race so to get another podium or even a win would be amazing especially with my entire family with me to see it in person as well!”

Nerea Martí (Campos Racing Driver in F1 Academy): "I´m really looking forward to the home Grand Prix. Returning to Barcelona is very special. With all the fans, my family, my husband, my friends... I hope we can celebrate a great result together. It's a track that I like and where I have a lot of confidence. Besides, the Campos Racing team is doing a great job this season, and I hope it shows on the track starting Friday."

Carrie Schreiner (Campos Racing Driver in F1 Academy): “First race in Europe and home race for Campos Racing. Everyone knows Barcelona really well so I think we are going to have a great weekend!”
