The second round of the F1 Academy, the all-female racing series, takes place this coming weekend at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. Chambers, with a double podium in Shanghai; Palmowski, who took a curtain-raiser event victory; and Ferreira, who scored points in both races in China, form a talented trio ready to fight for everything at the demanding street circuit

Everything is set for the second event of the F1 Academy season, which will take place this weekend in Saudi Arabia on a circuit that will feature new challenges compared to the Shanghai International Circuit where the curtain was raised just a few weeks ago. Campos Racing will field the highly promising line-up of Chloe Chambers, Alisha Palmowski, and Rafaela Ferreira who, after their strong results in China, propelled the Alzira-based team to the top of the team standings. Campos Racing currently leads the championship with fifty points after the opening round, and the goal is to defend—and, if possible, increase—that advantage over their rivals.
Chambers was undoubtedly one of the standout performers in the opening round of the season. The American driver, representing the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme, never stepped off the podium all weekend. She finished second in Saturday’s race, where she also claimed the extra point for fastest lap, and then secured third place in Sunday’s race. As a result, she currently sits third in the overall standings with 24 points.
British driver Palmowski couldn’t have asked for a better start to the season, winning the opening race in Shanghai. Coupled with a sixth-place finish in the second race, she holds fourth place in the standings with 18 points. The Red Bull Racing Academy Programme driver heads into this second round highly motivated and determined to add more wins in the all-female championship.
Brazilian driver Ferreira showed great determination in her F1 Academy debut. After receiving grid penalties for both races, the Visa Cash App RB Academy driver delivered two recovery drives that earned her valuable championship points. She finished fifth in Race 1 and eighth in Race 2.
The Jeddah Corniche Circuit will pose a tough test for all the drivers behind the wheel of their Tatuus F4-T421 machinery. At 6.174 kilometers in length, its long straights promise a slipstreaming spectacle where race intelligence and strategy will be key to deciding the winners. The asphalt is not particularly abrasive, meaning tire wear is relatively low. However, tire selection and management will be crucial to maximize the chances of strong results in both races. Grip levels are also expected to improve as the weekend progresses, since—as with all circuits near desert environments—the track surface tends to be covered in fine sand on Friday.
Free practice will get underway on Friday at 13:05, followed by qualifying at 20:30. On Saturday, the first race will begin at 14:20, with the second race on Sunday starting at 14:05. All times are in Spanish local time.
Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): “We had a very promising start to the F1 Academy season, as shown by the fact that we head into this second round as leaders in the team standings and with all three of our drivers among the top eight. It's crucial to qualify inside the top eight to ensure you start both races as far forward as possible. The field is even more competitive than last year, and everything can be decided by the smallest details. Our goal is to bring home as many points as possible, without losing sight of the wins and podiums we already tasted in China.”
