Just one week after, Ghiotto – competing at his home event- and Nissany are back in action at Italy’s “Tempio della velocità” to continue their recent run of strong performances in Belgium
Campos Vexatec Racing will contest another round of the 2018 FIA Formula 2 Championship taking place at another historic venue. After Spa-Francorchamps, the main Formula 1 feeder series have scheduled two new races at Monza in the frame of the Italian Grand Prix. The venue, which gets massive crowds with thousandths of “tiffosi” attending, serves as the antepenultimate round of the season.
Luca Ghiotto and Roy Nissany feel optimistic ahead of Monza and it will a particularly special weekend for Ghiotto as the Italian will have the opportunity to race in front of his fans. Ghiotto couldn’t score another podium finish in Belgium last weekend but collected important points for the championship. Nissany also made it into the points completing a positive weekend for Campos Vexatec Racing.
Monza is another fertile ground for the Spain-based team in recent seasons. Campos Vexatec Racing claimed wins and podiums at a track featuring a unique racing heritage. The circuit runs essentially as two long straights divided by chicanes and extremely fast bends such as the Parabolica.
Saturday’s race 1 is scheduled at 16.45 (CET) with race 2 on Sunday at 10.55 (CET).
