The Alzira-based team and Italy´s Pulcini were crowned the 2016 champions last weekend and look for success at the last event. Menchaca, Moreno and Abdullayev also aiming to finish in style
The Euroformula Open will come to an end at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya next weekend and Campos Racing expects to be victorious in the season finale of the series after a year that saw great successes achieved by Adrián Campos´ F3 squad. Italy´s Leonardo Pulcini wrapped up the 2016 Euroformula Open title in style at Circuito de Jerez after scoring his seventh win of the season.
Pulcini and Campos Racing won the Drivers´ and Teams´ standings a few days ago and the Spanish team and its four drivers are looking forward to adding new successes to their track record. Mexico´s Diego Menchaca, Ecuador´s Julio Moreno and Azerbaijan´s Gulhuseyn Abdullayev, just like Pulcini, will focus on earning new wins and podiums in the Euroformula Open.
Pre-season testing in Barcelona showed signs of competitive pace for Campos Racing as its four drivers topped the timesheets in Winter Series last March. No doubts it will be a valuable starting point to the weekend.
The drivers will hit the track for the very first time on Thursday, with three private testing sessions ahead of a Friday devoted to free practice once again. On Saturday, Q2 will take place at 10.45 and race is scheduled at 15.15. Sunday will kick off with Q2 at 09.00 and race 2 is slated to start at 13.15.
