Campos Racing aim to achieve good results in Le Castellet, which hosts an exciting second round of the 2018 GP3 Series. The Alzira-based team will enter its three Dallara GP3/16 cars for Leonardo Pulcini, Simo Laaksonen and Diego Menchaca. Campos Racing’s trio of drivers delivered strong performances in Barcelona, which was the curtain-raiser last month.
The GP3 Series is now entering the hot phase of the season after a six-week break as there are three consecutive race weekends: Paul Ricard, Red Bull Ring and Silverstone. Pulcini scored the pole position in Barcelona and later brought fourth place home. The Italian driver made in the top-three in preseason collective testing at Paul Ricard and looks like another contender for wins on French soil. Laaksonen and Menchaca, who are completing their maiden season in the series, also scored points in Montmeló. Finland’s Laaksonen came 8th on Sunday with Mexico’s Menchaca finishing tenth in race one.
