Argentinean driver Guerrieri claimed three podium finishes in the World Touring Car Championship over the past two rounds
Campos Racing and Esteban Guerrieri approach Round 3 of the World Touring Car Championship at Hungaroring and they are ready to make their mark once again. Guerrieri won the opening race of the season in Marrakech and stepped back onto the podium at Monza by securing two third-place finishes for Campos Racing in the WTCC Trophy. Guerrieri, in his Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1, lies seventh overall in the drivers’ standings and third in the WTCC Trophy. On the other hand, Campos Racing sits second in team’s points.
The Hungaroring circuit is considered to be Monaco without the walls and is famed for hosting the first Formula 1 Grand Prix behind the Iron Curtain in 1986. Its twisty and bumpy nature makes passing much more challenging for drivers. It is worth to mention Hungaroring was resurfaced last year and also kerb changes were introduced.
On Saturday two free practice sessions will take place at 09.00 and 11.30. Finally the single qualifying session is scheduled at 14.00. On Sunday, the Opening race is due to start at 12.35 and the Main race at 13.45. All times local.
