Campos Racing driver will start on the pole position of Race at Motegi, hosting the the Race of Japan of the World Touring Car Championship. Filippi took spot on row seven

Hugo Valente has secured pole position for Race 2 tomorrow at Motegi, where the WTCC Japanese event takes place. At the wheel of his Campos Racing Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1, Valente finished 9th-fastest in Q2 but, later, Tom Chilton was given a penalty, so Valente moved up to 8th and securing pole position on the reverse grid. John Filippi, with a second Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1 will start 14th on the starting grid.

Both races take place tomorrow.
