Frenchman driver stepped onto the Russian podium of privateers in Moscow Raceway, second and third. Filippi retired from Race 1 but makes recovery to finish 7th


Hugo Valente and John Filippi have taken part at the Russian World Touring Car Championship over the weekend. For Valente this meeting proved to be pretty rewarding by finishing on the podium twice. On Saturday Valente qualified 7th with his Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1 of Campos Racing, a good starting point for today. In Race 1 the driver of the fluorescent Chevrolet finished 12th but, most importantly, third in the Independents´ Trophy. John Filippi, with identical Chevrolet, was unable to finish. Then in the second race Valente still improved his performance by finishing 8th overall and second privateer driver. This time, Filippi came 7th.


After five rounds, Valente and Filippi sit 4th and 6th in the Yokohama Drivers´ Trophy, and Campos Racing lies third in the Teams´ Trophy.
