Oriola and Filippi will contest the Round 3 of the FIA WTCR at Nürburgring Nordschleife, the planet’s most challenging race track, with their CUPRA TCR cars
Team Oscaro by Campos Racing and its drivers Pepe Oriola and John Filippi are already preparing for the “Green Hell”, which hosts Round 3 of the FIA WTCR. Spaniard Oriola and Corsican Filippi are making a strong start to the 2018 World Touring Car Cup season.
Oriola stepped onto the podium in his Team Oscaro by Campos Racing-run CUPRA TCR at the series’ inaugural round in Marrakech. Filippi is still seeking his maiden podium finish in the series but the young touring car star already collected points for the Drivers’ championship.
The iconic Nürburgring Nordschleife has over 150 corners to memorise and breath-taking crests and gradients.
Unlike other events, as the FIA WTCR joins the mammoth 24 hours of Nürburgring, race 1 is scheduled on Thursday at 19.45 (CET). Race 2 and race 3 will take place on Saturday at 11.00 (CET) and 12.20 (CET) respectively consisting of 3 laps each.
