Oriola and Filippi will head to Holland for the fourth round of the 2018 WTCR season with their Team Oscaro by Campos Racing-run CUPRA TCR cars. The Spain-based team aims for a third podium finish
Zandvoort, the historical venue of the Dutch Grand Prix, will host the fourth round of the World Touring Car Cup next weekend. Despite the circuit changed a lot after the 1988 season, the layout is still characterized by its fast bends including “Tarzan” at the end of the main straight and low grip due to sand blowing onto the asphalt from the near beach.
Team Oscaro by Campos Racing will enter their two CUPRA TCR cars for Pepe Oriola and John Filippi. Oriola claimed his second podium finish of the season at Nürburgring last weekend. Previously, the Barcelona native driver made a sensational start to the season with another rostrum in Marrakech’s opening round. Corsican Filippi is still in the hunt for a podium result but already finished in the points.
After three rounds, Oriola sits ninth in the Drivers’ standings on 50 points. On the other hand, Oscaro by Campos Racing lies sixth in the Teams’ standings on 56 points.
Sunday’s race 1 will take place at 16.20 (CET) with Monday’s race 2 and race 3 taking place at 12.15 (CET) and 16.35 (CET) respectively.
