Germany’s Heidfeld and Sweden’s Rosenqvist will contest FIA Formula E’s Julius Baer Mexico City ePrix in their Mahindra M3ELECTRO cars run in collaboration with Campos Racing
The fourth round of the FIA Formula E, the all-electric championship, will take place in México and the Mahindra Racing Formula E Team, whose cars are run in collaboration with Campos Racing, will fight to secure other valuable podium finishes.
Nick “Quick” Heidfeld and Felix Rosenqvist brought rostrum finishes home in the previous rounds held in Hong Kong and Marrakesh. Former Formula 1 start Heidfeld stepped onto the podium in the streets of Hong Kong and then Sweden’s Rosenqvist equaled his German teammate’s third place in Morocco. Rosenqvist also set races’ fastest lap times twice so far, a valuable achievement that proves how quick M3ELECTRO cars.
The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, which is named after the Mexico’s most famous drivers – Pedro and Ricardo-, is situated inside the city limits. In comparison with the track layout used in Formula 1, that used by Formula E reduces its length by over half a kilometer. Besides, at over 2,200 meters, is the highest track throughout the season.
Both qualifying session and super pole will take place at 12.00 and 12.45 respectively, with the Mexico City ePrix getting underway at 16.04. They are local times.
