After learning the new track in two free practice sessions, Filippi set a best lap time of 1:23.020 in Q1, fifth in WTCC Trophy class. Today, Filippi experienced a tough race one (Opening Race) as Corsica´s driver retired after 13 laps. But his effort was rewarded by finishing 5th in race two (Main Race) after mastering in rain as it was declared wet.
The WTCC heads to Germany for another round in three weeks´ time, the mammoth Nürburgring- Nordschleife event.
