The circuit located near the Catalan capital will mark the debut of the Alzira-based team with the driver pairings of August Raber – Arthur Rogeon and Lucas Fluxá – Matúš Ryba at the wheel of the two Ligier JS P325 cars that will carry its colours in the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup season
Brutal Fish by Campos Racing’s journey in endurance racing will face its first major test this very weekend at the Circuit de Barcelona–Catalunya. The Barcelona venue will host the opening round of the six-event calendar scheduled this year by the European Michelin Le Mans Cup championship. Following Barcelona, the series will visit Paul Ricard (May 2), La Sarthe – Le Mans (June 12), Spa-Francorchamps (August 22), Silverstone (September 12) and the Algarve (October 10).
Brutal Fish by Campos Racing will field two Ligier JS P325 entries, with August Raber and Arthur Rogeon sharing the #12 car, while Lucas Fluxá and Matúš Ryba will team up in the #19 LMP3. All four drivers are remarkably young, yet they have already demonstrated strong pace and consistency across different categories and championships.
Earlier this week, the four Brutal Fish by Campos Racing drivers took part in the collective test organised by the championship at the Circuit de Barcelona–Catalunya itself. Despite some of them taking their first steps at the wheel of an LMP3 prototype, they consistently ran among the frontrunners, with the team’s Ligier cars placing near the top of the timesheets both in the morning and afternoon sessions. Engineers and drivers focused not only on one-lap speed but also on achieving consistent and solid race pace—an essential factor in endurance racing.
With a record-breaking entry of forty-five cars on the grid, this opening round promises close competition and plenty of excitement. The Circuit de Barcelona–Catalunya, measuring 4,657 metres, needs little introduction. Strategy management in a two-hour race, together with the ability to handle slower traffic and lapped cars efficiently, could prove decisive in determining the winning pairing. Ambient temperatures, expected to exceed twenty degrees Celsius, may also play a role in tyre degradation as well as in the mechanical performance and physical condition of the drivers.
Following two free practice sessions scheduled for Friday, qualifying will take place on Saturday starting at 13:20. The two-hour race will get underway at 18:20, finishing as darkness falls over the Barcelona circuit. All times are local. The race can be followed live via streaming on the Michelin Le Mans Cup YouTube channel.
Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): “We approach this new chapter of our endurance programme with great enthusiasm. It promises to be an exciting challenge and, although we are aware of its difficulty, we remain ambitious. We have prepared our debut in Barcelona very thoroughly, which is also our home race. The collective test last Wednesday confirmed that we are on the right track, as both our cars and drivers were consistently among the frontrunners. We will aim to achieve the best possible results and, in doing so, lay a successful first cornerstone for this project.”
