The 2026 F4 Spain season officially gets underway this weekend at the team’s home event, held at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Cheste, located in close proximity to the team’s headquarters in Alzira. The calendar features seven race weekends, promising a highly competitive and demanding campaign. Following the season opener in Valencia, the championship will visit Portimão (6–7 June), Alcañiz (20–21 June), a venue yet to be confirmed (8–9 August), Jerez (26–27 September), Los Arcos (10–11 October) and Barcelona (7–8 November).

After Thomas Strauven and Griffin Core by Campos secured both championships in 2025, the objectives for the upcoming season remain equally ambitious. Griffin Core by Campos will field three entries for Noah Monteiro and Vivek Kanthan, both entering their second season in the category, alongside rookie Ty Fisher. Meanwhile, Campos Racing will run three rookies: Daniel Kelleher, Luna Fluxá and Jacob Micallef.

The progress achieved during the off-season was clearly demonstrated in the F4 Spain Winter Series, held during the first quarter of 2026 across events in Algarve, Jarama and Motorland Aragón. Monteiro emerged as the series champion, underlining his pace and consistency with two race wins and two second-place finishes. Kanthan also delivered a strong performance, securing one victory and two second places. The rookies likewise showed encouraging potential, with Fluxá and Fisher both claiming podium finishes, while Kelleher and Micallef consistently featured within the top five.

Circuit Ricardo Tormo, inaugurated in 1999, represents a key milestone in the team’s season. The 4.005-kilometre layout is characterised by close, compact racing, where grid position can prove decisive. At the same time, several heavy braking zones provide overtaking opportunities, particularly at Turn 8, known as Bernat Martínez. Last season, Strauven claimed two victories and one second-place finish at this venue. Weather conditions may also play a role over the weekend, with overcast skies forecast for Saturday and a possibility of rain on Sunday.

The event schedule includes two free practice sessions on Friday at 12:35 and 15:40. On Saturday, the first qualifying session will take place at 09:00, followed by Race 1 (30 minutes plus one lap) at 12:40 and Race 2 (25 minutes plus one lap) at 15:20. On Sunday, the second qualifying session will be held at 09:00, with Race 3 (30 minutes plus one lap) scheduled for 13:15. All sessions will be broadcast live via the championship’s official YouTube channel. All times are local (CET).

Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): “We approach the start of the season with great motivation. Following last year’s achievements, our objectives for 2026 remain unchanged. The Winter Series confirmed the strength of our driver line-up, combining experience and promising new talent. We are confident this balance will allow us to remain competitive throughout the season. Starting in Valencia, at our home event, makes this moment particularly meaningful for the entire team.”
