Everything is ready for the resumption of the current F4 Spain campaign, which will take place this weekend at the iconic Andalusian track. The event in Jerez marks the fifth round of the 2025 calendar, which from this point onwards will remain exclusively on Spanish soil, with the championship heading next to Valencia’s Circuit Ricardo Tormo (October 18-19) and Barcelona (November 15-16). Griffin Core by Campos will field its three Tatuus single-seaters for Thomas Strauven, Jan Przyrowski and Matúš Ryba, while Campos Racing will run the trio of Noah Monteiro, Vivek Kanthan and Miguel Costa.

Arriving in Jerez as championship leader is Strauven. The Belgian took his maiden victory at Motorland Aragón, but it was in Algarve and Paul Ricard where he truly stamped his authority, claiming five wins out of six races and finishing third in the other. Adding two further second places and two thirds in Navarra and Aragón, Strauven has built a commanding lead in the standings with 234 points. His tally also includes six pole positions and nine fastest laps — a dominant record by any measure.

His teammate Przyrowski sits second overall with 133 points. The Polish driver has three wins this season, achieved at Motorland Aragón (2) and Los Arcos. Przyrowski has also taken second place in Portugal and secured two third-place finishes in Navarra and Le Castellet. With four pole positions and one fastest lap to his name, his main goal for the remainder of the season will be to maximize his qualifying performances into strong race-day points hauls.

Campos Racing rookies Monteiro and Kanthan are impressing in their debut year in a series as competitive as Spanish F4. The young Portuguese and American sit eighth and ninth in the overall standings, but more significantly, they are second and third in the Rookie standings, with 59 and 47 points respectively. Monteiro has already claimed a pole position and scored points on eight occasions, with two fourth places as his best overall results so far, alongside several Rookie podiums. Kanthan, with two fifth-place finishes, has also climbed the Rookie podium multiple times.

Both Ryba and Costa will be looking to step up their performances in the second half of the season. The Slovak driver’s best result so far has been sixth at Los Arcos, while the Brazilian finished seventh at Aragón. With familiar circuits coming up, expectations are high for both Griffin Core by Campos and Campos Racing drivers to deliver strong showings.

In the Teams’ standings, Griffin Core by Campos leads with 312 points, while Campos Racing currently holds fourth with 92.

Circuito de Jerez, officially named after motorcycle legend Ángel Nieto, opened in 1985. From the following year onwards, it hosted rounds of both the World Sportscar Championship and Formula 1. F1 raced at Jerez as the Spanish Grand Prix venue from 1986 to 1990 and later as the European Grand Prix in 1994 and 1997. Today, the 4.428 km track is characterized by its relatively short main straight. The Sito Pons corner feeds into the back straight, with the heavy braking zone into Dani Pedrosa Corner offering one of the prime overtaking opportunities. The final Jorge Lorenzo Corner (Turn 13) also provides a last-chance overtaking spot for the bravest drivers.

The weekend schedule will see free practice sessions on Saturday at 11:20, followed by the first qualifying session at 13:55. Race 1 (30 minutes + 1 lap) will take place later that afternoon at 17:00. On Sunday, the second qualifying session begins at 09:00, ahead of Race 2 at 11:20 (25 minutes + 1 lap). The third and final race is scheduled for 16:10, lasting 30 minutes + 1 lap. All sessions will be streamed live on the championship’s official YouTube channel. All times are local.

Adrián Campos (Team Principal, Campos Racing): “Three months have passed since the last race, but we have worked tirelessly with these final three rounds in mind. We occupy the top two positions in the Drivers’ standings and second and third among the rookies, while also leading the Teams’ standings. Overall, it has been an excellent season so far, and our goal is to continue in the same direction in this final sprint, starting already here in Jerez. It is a circuit we know well, and we head there eager to carry forward the winning momentum of recent races.”
