The Circuit Paul Ricard will host three more races of the 2025 F4 Spain season this coming weekend. This round carries significant strategic weight heading into the second half of the season, as the French venue marks the official midpoint of the championship. It will also be the final event before the summer break.

Le Castellet, located near the French Riviera, will see Griffin Core by Campos arrive leading both the drivers' and teams’ standings of the Spanish F4 championship. The Alzira-based team holds a commanding lead in the teams’ standings with 229 points, thanks to the outstanding performances delivered so far by drivers Thomas Strauven, Jan Przyrowski and Matúš Ryba.

Strauven currently tops the drivers’ standings with a comfortable margin, largely thanks to his triple win in the Algarve. The Belgian has accumulated 170 points from four victories, two second-place finishes and two thirds. In total, he has only finished off the podium once in the nine races held so far.

Przyrowski has also emerged as a serious title contender during the first half of the championship. The Polish driver is third overall with 110 points, earned through three wins, a second place and a third. Despite some misfortune in Portugal, his wins in Motorland Aragón and Navarra serve as strong credentials heading into Paul Ricard.

Ryba has shown steady progress in terms of competitiveness, with his best results so far being a sixth and a ninth place. Already familiar with Le Castellet, the Slovak driver will aim to further improve his performances in F4 Spain.

Campos Racing’s very young trio—Noah Monteiro, Vivek Kanthan, and Miguel Costa—are making a striking debut in the ultra-competitive F4 Spain series. The Spanish squad is currently fourth in the teams’ standings, with these three promising talents contributing valuable points.

Monteiro sits eighth in the drivers’ standings and notably ranks second among the rookies. The Portuguese driver, who even secured a pole position at Alcañiz, has consistently scored points, with a fourth place in Motorland Aragón as his best result so far. With multiple rookie podiums to his name, an overall podium finish seems just around the corner.

Kanthan rounds out the top ten in the overall standings and is third in the rookie class, just behind Monteiro. The American driver secured two fifth-place finishes in the season opener and has since added more points in four additional races.

Last but not least, Brazilian driver Miguel Costa began the season strongly with a seventh and a ninth place at Motorland, but was unable to score points in Navarra due to various incidents. He bounced back at Portimão, clinching a ninth place in the final race of the weekend.

Construction of the Circuit Paul Ricard began in 1969, with the track opening just a year later. Today, following several layout modifications—particularly after the fatal accident of Elio de Angelis—to enhance safety, the circuit measures 5.842 km. Despite changes, it retains much of its original character: a flat, flowing track with iconic corners such as Verrerie, Hotel, and the legendary Mistral straight, now interrupted by the Montréal chicane and ending in the fast right-hander at Signes. Its vast run-off areas have become a trademark of Le Castellet.

Friday will host the free practice sessions. On Saturday, qualifying 1 will begin at 09:30, followed by Race 1 at 12:35, lasting 30 minutes plus one lap. On Sunday, the drivers will be back on track at 09:00 for qualifying 2. Race 2 is scheduled for 11:00 and will run for 25 minutes plus one lap. The third and final race will start at 13:30, with a 30-minute + 1 lap format. All the action will be streamed live on the championship’s official YouTube channel. All times listed are Spanish time.

Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): “It’s been an excellent season so far for us, with seven wins and numerous podium finishes, both overall and in the rookie category. We now reach the midway point at Le Castellet, a circuit we know extremely well, and we’re aiming to end the first half of the season on a high note before heading into the summer break.”
