Monza, a high-speed finale for the FIA F3 season

Boya and Tsolov will fight for the runner-up spot in Italy, arriving separated by just two points. Boya, a driver of the Aston Martin Academy, and Tsolov, part of the Red Bull Junior Team, will be Campos Racing’s main contenders. Inthraphuvasak, who alongside his teammates has taken Campos Racing’s tally to five wins, will also play a key role in the battle for the Teams’ Championship, where the Alzira-based squad sits in second place

The 2025 FIA Formula 3 season will draw to a close this coming weekend at Monza, the famed Italian “Temple of Speed.” The curtain falls with several key battles still to be decided, particularly those involving Campos Racing. On the one hand, Mari Boya and Nikola Tsolov will fight for the vice-championship. On the other, Spain’s only team in the category will contest the Teams’ title, counting on the decisive efforts of Boya, Tsolov, and Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak. Two races will settle everything.

Campos Racing’s overall campaign in FIA Formula 3, the third rung of the single-seater ladder under the FIA, has been nothing short of superb. Boya, Tsolov, and Inthraphuvasak have collected no fewer than five wins and seven podiums, underlining their strong positions in both the Drivers’ and Teams’ standings. Boya first stepped onto the podium in Monaco with third place, before repeating at the Red Bull Ring and Silverstone, where he claimed his maiden F3 win in Sunday’s race. A runner-up finish in Hungary puts him second overall with 108 points, just two ahead of Tsolov. The “Bulgarian Lion” has been victorious in Sakhir and Monte Carlo, and has added three more third-place finishes in Imola, Barcelona, and Spielberg. German driver Tim Tramnitz and Norway’s Martinius Stenshorne are also mathematically in contention for second place, although especially in Stenshorne’s case, their chances are slim.

Inthraphuvasak’s season has been equally impressive. The Thai driver is one of only four competitors to have won more than once this year. He made a strong start in Melbourne with fourth and seventh places, narrowly missed the podium at the Red Bull Ring, and then claimed victory at Silverstone, a circuit that particularly suits his style. His second win came at the Hungaroring just before the summer break. Inthraphuvasak’s contribution has been as crucial as that of Boya and Tsolov in keeping Campos Racing firmly in the fight for the Teams’ crown. Currently second with 263 points, the Spanish outfit trails Trident by only 18. With 66 points still available, almost anything could happen.

Monza, inaugurated on September 3rd, 1922, is a true centenary circuit and one of the most iconic names in European motorsport history. Despite the safety changes introduced over the decades, its DNA remains intact: long straights interrupted only by a handful of corners and chicanes, making Monza a true slipstream paradise. This characteristic makes qualifying especially tricky, as drivers deliberately avoid leading the pack. For this event, qualifying will be split into two groups, with odd and even-numbered cars running separately. With temperatures forecast around 20 degrees, the stage is set for a fitting season finale – and farewell to summer.

Both Free Practice and Qualifying will take place on Friday, with the former scheduled for 09:35. Qualifying will follow in two groups: Group A at 15:00 and Group B at 15:20. Saturday will see the Sprint Race start at 09:15, while Sunday’s Feature Race is set for 08:15. All times are CET.

Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): “We want to put the finishing touch on a magnificent FIA Formula 3 season at Monza, one in which we have achieved wins and podiums with all three of our drivers. The runner-up spot will largely be contested between Mari and Nikola, who are the two main candidates for second and third in the standings. As a team, we still have a shot at the championship. The contribution of Tas, Nikola, and Mari will be fundamental. From our side, we will make one last push to finish the season in the best possible way.”
