Boschung and Maini racked up extensive mileage in their Campos Racing-run Dallara F2 cars at Yas Marina Circuit
The three-day FIA Formula 2 collective testing came to an end for Campos Racing in a very positive was as their duo of Ralph Boschung and Kush Maini completed 263 laps over the week. Besides, both drivers of Campos Racing managed to carry out qualifying and race simulations ahead of the 2023 season. Boschung and newcomer Maini posted pretty competitive laps times in all circumstances, which is powerful morale booster for the team.
On Wednesday, Indian Maini proved his quick learning by setting a lap time of 1m36.901s, 7th fastest in the afternoon session. The following day, Boschung and Maini put themselves in the top-six during the first session held in the morning. At the wheel of his MoonMobile Dallara, Swiss Boschung clocked a lap of 1m36.311s, which was fourth-fastest in the timesheets. Maini’s best lap was 1m36.349s to take 6th spots on the screens. On Friday, Maini further lowered his personal best time with a lap of 1m36.041s and finished the first session in 6th place with Boschung posting a lap time of 1m36.365s. In the afternoon, Maini led the way for Campos Racing with a time of 1m36.875s after a mammoth 55-lap effort.
Campos Racing and their drivers will now continue working and analyzing data at home in preparation of next year.
