This is the second event held in North America and will carry significant weight in the title fight, as three races are scheduled instead of the usual two. Chambers, Palmowski, and Ferreira approach the visit to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve with ambition, aiming for the lead in the drivers’ standings and to defend the teams’ lead currently held by Campos Racing

The 2025 F1 Academy season continues this weekend with a trip to Montreal, held alongside the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix, for what will be the fourth round of the year. After more than a month’s break since the last race in Miami—where the second race was cancelled due to a severe storm—engines will roar again in Canada at a meeting that features three races instead of two, which means a substantial number of points will be at stake.
Campos Racing will field its three Tatuus F4-T421 cars for Chloe Chambers, Alisha Palmowski, and Rafaela Ferreira in the all-female category. So far, the season has been overwhelmingly positive for Campos Racing and its drivers. Chambers and Palmowski are both contenders for the drivers’ championship lead, while Campos Racing leads the teams’ standings with 108 points, fourteen ahead of their closest rival.
American driver Chloe Chambers, competing under the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme banner, currently sits third in the championship with 55 points, just nine behind Maya Weug. This is despite being unable to defend her pole position in Miami due to the aforementioned race cancellation. So far, she has secured two second-place finishes, two third places, two pole positions, and two fastest laps, having scored points in every single race.
As for Palmowski, the determined British driver has been impressive in her first full season in F1 Academy. Like Chambers, she has scored points in every race to date and even claimed victory at the season opener in Shanghai. Palmowski, currently fourth in the standings with 44 points, has also taken two more podiums—a second place in Miami and a third in Jeddah. The Red Bull Racing Academy Programme driver will be looking to extend her streak in Montreal.
Brazilian racer Rafaela Ferreira, who drives under the colors of the Visa Cash App RB Academy, is also a consistent points scorer. Aside from a challenging round in Saudi Arabia, her best result so far is a fifth place in China, along with two eighth-place finishes. With her determination and pace—and considering that luck hasn’t always been on her side—Ferreira is aiming to break into the podium positions in Montreal.
The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, located in Montreal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau, debuted in 1978 and has since hosted the Canadian Grand Prix. It is a technical track in its first two sectors, with the always tricky combination of Turn 1 and the Senna Corner. The second sector features two chicanes, the latter leading into the Hairpin, which opens onto the long Casino straight. The circuit measures 4.361 kilometers in length and is known for its unpredictable and often treacherous weather conditions.
The sole free practice session and qualifying are scheduled for Friday at 17:05 and 00:30, respectively. On Saturday, the first two races will take place at 15:15 and 20:50. The third race will be held on Sunday at 16:55. All times are given in Spanish time zone (CEST).
Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): “We continue our North American journey at a circuit with great tradition and which is now a true F1 classic. The results have been on our side so far—we’re leading the teams’ standings and have two drivers in the top four. This weekend could prove decisive, as we have no fewer than three races, which means many points up for grabs. Until now, we’ve reached the podium in every race either with Chloe or Alisha—sometimes with both. That gives us great confidence heading into Montreal. And of course, we’re also highly motivated by the prospect of Rafaela securing her first podium in the category, which she undoubtedly deserves."
