The renowned engineer has signed with Campos Racing to lead the team through its transition to new Formula 2 car for 2018
Campos Racing is delighted to announce that Toni Cuquerella joins the team in advisory role. Cuquerella will be also implementing new technology and leading Campos Racing through its transition to new Formula 2 car to debut in 2018. Spaniard Cuquerella will get involved in research and development area for Adrián Campos’ team.
Cuquerella is an experienced engineer in motorsport. He was Fernando Alonso’s race engineer when the double World Champion took the Open Fortuna by Nissan title with Campos Racing in 1999. Later, Spaniard Cuquerella was SEAT Sport’s Chief Engineer in the World Touring Car Championship and then he worked in Formula 1 teams such as Super Aguri F1, BMW Sauber F1 Team or HRT F1. He joined Ferrari as its Chief Race engineer in 2015 and 2016. His CV also includes experience with BMW Motorsport in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM).
