The first Paris ePrix has been held in the City of Light today, bringing lots of excitement with all-electric racing cars. Mahindra Racing and NEXTEV TCR Formula E Team, whose cars are run by Campos Racing, arrived in France targeting new podium finishes.
In qualifying, Oliver Turvey put his NEXTEV car seventh on the grid and his teammate Nelson Piquet Jr also performed pretty well to qualify 9th. Bruno Senna set 13th-quickest time for Mahindra and Nick Heidfeld, his teammate at the Indian squad, experienced some problems and couldn´t post a competitive lap and was at the back of the field. Later in the race, Senna made his way to 9th earning some extra points and Heidfeld moved up to 12th. Unfortunately for Senna, a late safety-car prevented him from charging when he saved considerable more energy than rivals ahead. Turvey came 13th and Piquet was forced to retire.
The Berlin ePrix will be held on 21 May.
