The FIA Formula E heads into the “European” season with an exciting race in the streets of the Italian capital. Rosenqvist and Heidfeld optimistic ahead of Rome ePrix
Mahindra Racing, whose M4ELECTRO cars are run in collaboration with QEV Technologies – in which Campos Racing forms part of the shareholding also provides its staff and technology-, will contest the FIA Formula E’s Italian round next weekend with its pairing of Felix Rosenqvist and Nick Heidfeld.
Rosenqvist sits second in the drivers’ standings on 79 points after 6 races and expects to close the gap tot title rival Jean-Éric Vergne in Rome. Rosenqvist, after bringing two wins home in Hong Kong and Marrakesh and Heidfeld, who also stepped onto the podium this season, are ready to yield another strong performance at the Circuito Cittadino. On the other hand, Mahindra Racing lies second in the Teams’ standings on 100 points.
The Circuito Cittadino dell’EUR is the second longest track on the calendar at 2.84km in length. The start/finish is located on Via Cristoforo Colombo and drivers will be racing around the Obelisco di Marconi, close to famous Colosseo Quadrato.
The Rome ePrix will start at 16.00 (CET) on Saturday.
