The Romanian driver will pilot the #12 Dallara of Campos Racing for the remainder of the FIA Formula Two season
Campos Racing is pleased to announce the signing of Romanian driver Robert Visoiu (Pitești, 10 February 1996) for the remaining nine events of the 2017 FIA Formula Two Championship. Visoiu started racing single seaters in 2011 to participate in several minor series and then progressing to experience others top championships such as the GP3 Series and the GP2 Series. Robert has become a regular rostrum visitor and most notably he scored one or more podium finishes in every season.
“I am very happy to have the opportunity to join Campos Racing for the rest of the 2017 season! I have missed the competition immensely and I will do my best to get up to speed quickly. I need to thank Adrian Campos for his trust and guidance, which are essential to me. I am sure we can achieve great things together”, Visoiu said.
Adrián Campos, Team Principal of Campos Racing, added: “I have followed his career closely over the years, particularly in the GP2 Series. He is an extremely talented young driver and if we all put in the top effort and hard work, we will get the most out of his driving skills.”
With the signing of Visoiu to pair with Boschung, Campos Racing achieves the required stability for the remainder of the 2017 FIA Formula Two season.
