Pertamina Campos Racing feels the buzz as another new exciting GP2 season approaches. The Alzira-based team and its all-start driver line-up, Indonesian Sean Gelael and New Zealander Mitch Evans, worked hard throughout preseason. Series´ official testing in the Iberian Peninsula, which took place in Barcelona and Jerez, draw a positive conclusion for Campos Racing and its new drivers. Both Sean and Mitch made big, steady progress testing different configurations on cars´ setup and extracting maximum performance from their Dallaras GP2/11 both in dry and wet conditions.

The GP2 Series kicks off at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, a truly unique setting as it is home to the Spanish F1 Grand Prix. The venue brings back good memories for Pertamina Campos Racing because the Spanish squad has always achieved good results on this track in GP2 Series and another F1 feeder series. The past two seasons, Campos Racing earned several top-5 finishes at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

The GP2 Series will have an unchanged time scheme in 2016. Both free practice and qualifying sessions will be held on Friday at 12.00 and 15.55 respectively. Then, on Saturday, Feature race will get underway at 15.40 and Sprint race is scheduled at 10.25.
