Salim Hanna joins Campos Racing for the 2027 season

Campos Racing is pleased to announce Salim Hanna as the team’s newest driver for the 2027 FIA Formula 3 season. The Alzira-based outfit, which has won the Teams’ Championship in 2025 and 2026 and secured the Drivers’ title this past season, has added one of international motorsport’s most promising young talents as it bids to build on its recent success in FIA F3.

Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, Hanna is currently 16 years old. He began his karting career at just seven and immediately started to stand out for his speed and competitiveness. Among his first major achievements was a third-place finish in the KA 100 Junior class at the 2021 SKUSA SuperNationals, before moving up to OK-Junior the following season. It was in 2022 that he claimed victories in the prestigious Trofeo delle Industrie and the WSK Open Cup.

After remaining in karting until 2024, the Colombian made his first single-seater appearance at the end of that season, making his debut in the Formula Trophy in the United Arab Emirates and securing a promising fourth-place finish on his maiden outing. In 2025, he focused fully on Formula 4, competing in both the Italian and British championships and securing a total of three victories and nine podium finishes.

During 2026, Hanna continued his progression in single-seaters by competing in the Formula Regional European Championship and the Formula Regional Middle-East Trophy, where he recorded a combined total of seven wins and podium finishes. His development and results also earned him a place in the Ferrari Driver Academy, Ferrari’s young driver development programme, as one of the Maranello manufacturer’s promising talents for the future.
