Mattia Colnaghi joins Campos Racing for the 2027 FIA F3 season
Campos Racing is pleased to announce that Mattia Colnaghi will join its FIA Formula 3 driver line-up for the upcoming 2027 season alongside Salim Hanna and Ernesto Rivera. The Argentine-Italian driver will embark on his second year in the category while continuing as a member of the Red Bull Junior Team.
Born in the Italian town of Monza on 26 July 2008, Colnaghi has enjoyed a meteoric rise through the ranks of motorsport. After making his karting debut in 2020 in the Easykart 60 category, he went on to compete in OK Junior and OK, taking part in both the CIK-FIA World Championship and CIK-FIA European Championship.
His transition to single-seaters came in 2024, when he claimed the F4 Spain title in his rookie season. Colnaghi enjoyed an outstanding campaign, securing six victories, twelve podium finishes, seven pole positions and five fastest laps. One year later, once again as a rookie, he added another championship title to his record by winning Eurocup-3, with five victories, ten podiums, four pole positions and five fastest laps. He also finished an impressive fourth in the prestigious Macau Grand Prix.
The new Campos Racing driver will therefore enter the 2027 season aiming to fight for the highest objectives in the third tier of the FIA single-seater pyramid.
The first post-season tests will take place at Jerez this same week on Tuesday and Wednesday. The teams will then head to Barcelona for a further two days of testing on 26 and 27 October.
