The American duo will make Formula 3 debut next weekend at the event acting as the curtain raiser to the season
Campos Racing is pleased to announce that Marcos Siebert and Yves Baltas will race two of their cars in the 2018 Euroformula F3 Open season, which kicks off its season at Estoril (Portugal) next weekend.
Siebert, who claimed the Italian Formula 4 Championship title in 2016, is a strong addition to the driver line up as he is an experienced driver on the international scene after competing under the Campos Racing banner in the GP3 Series last year.
Siebert says: “It’s such a pleasure to continue defending Campos Racing colours now in F3. I will try my best to fight fop honours. Either Campos Racing or I have put a lot dedication throughout preseason testing. So I have no doubts we are ready to face such a challenging season.”
Baltas, who turned 16 recently and born in New York City, contested his rookie season of single-seater racing last year in the F4 British Championship. Despite it was half-season programme, American Baltas showed strong speed.
Baltas explains: “It is an amazing feeling to join a family team like Campos with such a rich pedigreed in motorsport. I am very excited about the first round of EF Open F3 and I feel confident in the preparation of Campos and I would do my best to deliver strong results.”
Adrián Campos, Team Principal of Campos Racing, underlines: “We are really happy to confirm Yves and Marcos for Estoril. Euroformula F3 Open is where young drivers as him start to develop their car’s performance and I am sure that we can help them to make a big step in their career to show up a good improvement. We are happy to help Yves and Marcos to contest the highly-competitive Euroformula F3 Open. Campos Racing have completed strenuous work and we all together expect to meet our goals.”
