Rosenqvist finished fifth on Sunday with Heidfeld bringing sixth place home on Saturday with the 2017-18 FIA formula E season coming to an end in New York City
Mahindra Racing, whose M4ELECTRO cars are run in collaboration with QEV Technologies – in which Campos Racing forms part of the shareholding also provides its staff and technology, scored another big haul of points in New York City, which played host to final round of the season.
On Saturday, Nick Heidfeld took 10th in his M4ELECTRO in first qualifying session with his teammate Felix Rosenqvist lining up 16th on the starting grid with his 1m14.825s. Later in the race, Heidfeld moved up through the field to finish 6th with Rosenqvist ending up 14th after a problematic first stint with one of his M4ELECTRO cars.
On Sunday, Rosenqvist improved during weekend’s second qualifying session with a ninth place on the grid with a lap time of 1m18.828s. Heidfeld clocked the 13th-fastest lap time with his 1m19.168s. Rosenqvist overtook two cars on lap one to move up to seventh. The Swede still gained another place before making his mandatory pit stop with Heidfeld also running in points contention. At the end, Rosenqvist came fifth with Heidfeld taking the checkered flag in seventh, which was his fourth consecutive points finish.
In the Drivers’ Standings, Rosenqvist sits sixth on 96 points with two victories to his name. On the other hand, Heidfeld finally finished 11th on 42 points. Mahindra Racing took 4th in the Teams’ Standings on 138 points.
