Campos Racing driver, sitting second overall in the European F3 series, eyes a new title for the Spanish team next weekend. The Alzira-based team will field four cars again
The Euroformula Open comes to an end at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya next weekend and Konstantin Tereschenko, at the wheel of a Campos Racing-entered car, has edge in Euroformula Open title fight.
Tereschenko, racing under Campos Racing banner, is lying second overall on 239 points. His four wins and four second-finishes are a nice background for an assault on the Euroformula Open title. Although it is going to be a tough battle, with two races remaining Tereschenko has a big chance on Catalan soil.
Besides, the Spanish F.3 championship will also reach its conclusion in Barcelona and Tereschenko sits first after both rounds held in Jerez and Estoril.
Mexico´s Diego Menchaca, Brazil´s Henrique Baptista and Kuwait´s Ahmad Al Ghanem will driver three other Dallara F312 cars entered by Campos Racing. Menchaca and Baptista, who managed to deliver their best performances at Monza, will have another shot in the season finale. Al Ghanem, who achieved a podium finish in rookies´ clash in Italy, will continue his learning in Formula 3.
Private testing sessions take place tomorrow, with Friday devoted to free practice sessions. On Saturday, following Q1, race 1 will take place at 15.00. Then, on Sunday, Q2 will be held again early in the morning with race 2 starting at 13.00.
