Great performance delivered by the Frenchman driver securing pole position for Sunday´s Race two in the streets of Macau. Oriola crashed in Q1 and will start from the back of the field. Filippi finished 2nd among TC2 cars.
Hugo Valente, with his Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1 entered by Campos Racing, will start from pole position on the starting grid of the second World Touring Car Championship race held in on Sunday. Both Campos Racing Chevrolets RML Cruze TC1, driven by Valente and Pepe Oriola, topped the Chevrolet drivers in the free practice sessions. Valente, by taking 10th place in Q2, has secured pole position on the reverse grid. Oriola was less fortunate as he crashed in the second sector on his first flying lap. So the Spaniard will start from the back of the field.
In TC2 John Filippi qualified second with his SEAT León WTCC, and his Asian teammates, William Lok and Henry Kwong, took fifth and 6th slots on the grid with identical cars.
Both races take place on Sunday at 11.15 and 12.30, local time.
