I started racing karts at the age of 7, nothing serious, but just to have fun, and at the age of 12 or 13 we started to compete more in international competition. I moved to cars in 2012, and started racing Formula Renault soon after that. We never had much time for testing because I was committed to school until 18, and achieved 10 A* grades at the age of 16, then my A level qualifications as well at 18. In 2015 I had a lot of success, and joined Renault as part of their academy, and have been with them for 3 years, growing and developing. I am now Reserve Driver for the F1 team and test for them.

I started motorsport at 7 years old with karting, and my goal was already to be an F1 driver. Since this days, I have one goal and 13 years later it’s still the same. I won many championship in karting so I have been detected by Lotus F1 junior programme, where I had been integrated from 2011 to 2016. After 2016 Lotus stop the programme, so it was tougher to find sponsors to continue in motorsport but we made it somehow.
I am really happy to make F2 in 2019 with Campos Racing, such a great team where I feel at home because from my mum is from Spain. Definitely, that’s the right team which is working hard for the same goal.
I have always been a sports man touching a bit of everything: Tennis, boxing, judo, athletics, ski and everything in competition from my young age; passion that I have shared with my studies until 18 years old, and I had my final Exam BAC S in the pocket.
