The French driver secured best result of the GP3 Series season making it into the points. Siebert and Hyman on a good note on Sunday
Campos Racing contested Round 3 of the GP3 Series with their line up of three drivers: Julien Falchero, Raoul Hyman and Marcos Siebert. They all manage to put in a good performance on British soil.
On Thursday, Falchero showed he was a real eye catcher at Silverstone and he spearheaded the Campos Racing charge with a time of 1:48.372. Siebert clocked a time of 1:48.749 and Hyman, who secured his maiden win at the Red Bull Ring, wasn’t pleased on his first outing but improved to score a lap of 1:49.455. On Friday, Falchero set 10th-fastest lap time with his 1:47.473 ahead of Hyman, who posted a lap of 1:47.571. Siebert took 17th spot on the starting grid.
On Saturday, Falchero moved up to 8th and fought with Giuliano Alesi to secure pole position on the reverse grid. He took the chequered flag in the final points-paying position. Siebert climbed up the order to finish 13th. Hyman came 16th.
In race 2, Falchero couldn’t score more points as he was forced to retire following an accident with Steijn Schothorst. Siebert made it into the top-ten. Behind, Hyman finished 11th.
The Hungaroring circuit will play host to Round 4 of the GP3 Series in two weeks’ time.
