Ghiotto and Nissany feel optimistic of positive outcome at the Hungaroring. The Hungarian Grand Prix marks the last round before the traditional summer break
Campos Vexatec Racing will field their two Dallara F2 2018 cars for Luca Ghiotto and Roy Nissany in the frame of the Hungarian Grand Prix. The pairing of Campos Vexatec Racing expects to enjoy a strong weekend at the eighth round of the FIA Formula 2 Championship.
Ghiotto secured a double podium weekend at Paul Ricard with three other top-5 results throughout the season. The Italian ace recently brought a fifth place finish in his Campos Vexatec Racing Dallara at Silverstone. On the other hand, Nissany has previously visited the podium at the Hungaroring in other Formula 1 feeder series and his goal is to hold a strong hand there.
Hungaroring, placed in Mogyoród near Budapest, brings back memories of brilliant results for Campos Vexatec Racing. The Spanish outfit won the first race of the GP2 Series event back in 2014 and continued the positive streak in the following seasons. The circuit has a tight and twisty nature with characteristics of a proper urban circuit. Its layout, which is notoriously difficult to overtake on, demands a good qualifying performance to start up front.
After starting behind the safety car in Austria and Great Britain, several clutch and electronic fixes have been introduced by FIA F2 organisers and coming into the weekend the series is aiming to have standing race starts.
Saturday’s feature race is scheduled at 16.45 (CET) with Sunday’s sprint race to take place at 11.20 (CET).
