Ghiotto and Nissany will get another shot to shine in the frame of the British Grand Prix. The second half of the FIA Formula 2 Championship begins with the round at Silverstone
Campos Vexatec Racing and drivers Luca Ghiotto and Roy Nissany are looking forward to competing at Silverstone. The Spain-based team is very motivated and both Nissany and Ghiotto are ready to fight hard to be back at the front after a tough weekend in Spielberg.
Silverstone is made up of 18 turns with a flowing, high-speed nature. It requires a compromise set-up due to its low downforce corners and high-speed straights and its layout means that plenty of energy is put upon the tires. As a result, degradation is always a key factor to master during the races. Last but not least, Campos Vexatec Racing already claimed a race win at Silverstone in the 2015 GP2 Series season.
At the moment, Ghiotto sits ninth in the standings on 47 points and his goal is to improve his 3rd-place finishes with another eye-opening performance. Nissany continues to focus on building up experience and Silverstone could be his high point of the season as he already stepped onto the podium there in other feeder series.
Saturday’s feature race is scheduled at 16.45 (CET) and Sunday’s sprint race will take place at 10.20 (CET).
