Campos Racing will continue being the single Spanish team in the Formula 1 paddock in a bid to find new racing talents and give them a platform to the pinnacle of motorsport

Campos Racing will enter the all-new single-make Formula 3 category for 2019 as the series recently announced its 10-team roster for the upcoming campaign. The FIA Formula 3 Championship will replace the GP3 Series on the Formula 1 and Formula 2 feeder series ladder.

The championship opened for entries in early September and the comprehensive process selection included a business plan for scrutiny. Each team will be able to mount a three-car assault to complete a grid of 30 participants.

The brand new Dallara-built car will be unveiled at the Yas Marina Circuit during the Formula 1 season finale. Besides, the Formula 3 car will have a steel halo and will be powered by a 3.4 L naturally-aspirated Mecachrome engine currently use in the Dallara GP3/16. The teams will receive their first car next January with testing starting shortly after.

Adrián Campos: “It’s such a big challenge that we will face. For 20 years now, we are trying to develop the career of talented and young drivers to bring them to the elite of Motorsport and for this reason we have to be in the best championships as the brand new FIA F3. We are excited to start the work for the 2019 season and I guarantee that Campos Racing will be very competitive.”
